YARDDASH // PART REQUEST GUIDE

Used Side Mirror sourcing guide

A side mirror gives the driver rearward visibility and may also contain heat, power adjustment, power folding, turn signals, cameras, memory, or blind-spot hardware.

REQUEST A SIDE MIRROR BROWSE DONOR VEHICLES

YardDash does not claim that a particular side mirror is in stock. A potential source and visible condition are verified privately before you decide whether to approve the next step.

WHAT THIS PART DOES

How the side mirror fits into the vehicle

The mirror assembly combines the glass, housing, motor, wiring, mounting base, and optional sensors. A painted cap or glass alone is not the same as a complete mirror assembly.

REMOVAL SKILL LEVEL

Beginner to intermediate — basic mirrors are straightforward, while camera or blind-spot mirrors may need calibration or professional diagnosis.

Door panels can contain side-impact airbags and delicate vapor barriers. Follow the vehicle procedure before removing interior trim.

COMMON FAILURE CLUES

What customers may notice

  • Loose or cracked housing, broken glass, water intrusion, or damaged mounting base
  • Inoperative adjustment, folding, heating, camera, signal, or blind-spot function
  • Wind noise or vibration after impact damage or an incomplete installation

REMOVAL EXPECTATIONS

What the job commonly involves

  • Access normally requires removing a small interior trim cover or part of the door panel
  • The harness connector must be released without damaging the door wiring or vapor barrier
  • The mirror should be supported while its mounting fasteners are removed

INSTALLATION CHECKS

Before the vehicle goes back into service

  • Match side, color preference, connector, power features, camera, signal, heat, memory, and blind-spot equipment
  • Inspect glass, cap, mounting studs, gasket, and wiring connection
  • Test every equipped function after installation; some camera or driver-assist systems may need calibration

PREPARE THE MATCH

Details that make the request more accurate

  • Vehicle year, make, model, trim, and left or right side
  • Power, heat, signal, camera, memory, and blind-spot features
  • Mirror color as a helpful preference, not as a substitute for fitment details

VERIFY BEFORE APPROVAL

What YardDash reviews

  • The requested options and side are compared before a source is proposed
  • Visible glass, cap, mounting points, and connector condition are checked
  • The customer receives a condition update before authorizing the pull or delivery
Use the factory repair information for the exact vehicle. These are planning and sourcing guides, not a substitute for diagnosis, torque specifications, safety procedures, programming, or a qualified technician. YardDash verifies a possible source and visible condition before approval; it does not promise a part is available, compatible, or ready to install.
